Commune approved

The Maine Switch's reviewer has a blog, Commune Tested, City Approved, with posts about the coming of Green Elephant's macrabiotic food. It's better than today's review of David's. I mean really, "Vegans go for the pizza sans cheese"?

It's really a shame that there wasn't space in the latest food wired column for a self-referential comment. Anyway, find out about CTCA tomorrow on Portland Food Map. The CTCA blog also discusses the birthplace of falafel (Syracuse), how to romanticize the Sixties (down on the commune, we had a tough go peddling our organic veggies), why ecoconsumerism is tres chic, and allegations about the blogger's past employer: Burger King.

No mention of militant veganism. And, for those of you who think this is mean, please head over to this ancient Eurotrash hit single. The bottom line: Retour a la normale.

I would happily read a column of restaurant reviews focused on going to the mostly omni restaurants around Portland and trying to find vegan food, I think that would be interesting. However I don't get these reviews that pretend to be normal but she just happens to order something augmented to be vegan, and brings the bf to order the meaty stuff. That David's review is the first one I've seen where she actually calls herself vegan, the ones I've read in the past have just been confusing.

Hey Portland Psst!

Thanks so much for your fine sense of humor and for directing your many fans to check out my new blog. I'll be thinking of you the next time I order a cheese-free pizza!

Avery is adorable so I can't say anything bad about her. I'm like a vegan too, except instead of not eating meat I don't write bad stuff about cute girls on the intarweb.

But I would like to see more vegan stuff in her journalism, since there isnt any locally, and it doesnt make sense to review a restaurant as a vegan.

Avery to take a road trip to Formaggio kitchen and learn the power of chz.
