Eater's founder, Lockhart Steele, tells The Moment blog:
I do most of my cooking in Maine during the summer, and the Portland farmers’ markets are a huge source of joy for me, via The New York Times.

Very true.. The farmers Market's do have loads of stuff. moms in the bizymoms Portland community will be able to give you more feed back on the markets

Yesterday's market at D-Oaks had an abundance of great root veggies, and other fresh items, all from local farmers.

Our entire Saturday night dinner consisted of items picked up locally, at PFM, and locally-raised beef (steak) picked up at Rosemont Market.

Tonight, we're mixing up a Tomato Feta Salad featuring fresh tomatoes from Olivia's Garden in New Gloucester, and goat's milk feta cheese from Tourmaline Hill Farm.
