Just the thought of late night food in Portland reminds me of why I dislike eating out in the first place.

Me thinks the chef is living a few years behind the times.
Behind the times fits that area well. With the $12 out-of-season salad that's served with tomatoes from Hannaford, Emilitsa is another place behind the times. Not authentic Greek if you've ever been to Greece. Otto expanding gives hope to that area of Congress.
Had excellent food at Nosh the other night. The fries are just about as good as Duckfat's.
Really? Because I talked to a friend who went Friday and everything she had she could only rate as "Meh," and that included some fries.
What?! Different people have different tastes and expectations?!
I went Saturday and they were closed. WTF? Not open til Monday, they said, yet we'd already heard rave reviews of the bacon tempura.
I hear the moo foo jambalaya is first-rate.
I went this weekend and was disappointed because they had almost nothing for vegetarians. white Heart always had tons of vegetarian.

My friend and I were recently discussing about how involved with technology our daily lives have become. Reading this post makes me think back to that debate we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.
I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as technology further develops, the possibility of uploading our brains onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I dream about every once in a while.

why does everyone compare it to whiteheart, its not the same place. whiteheart barely served food and when they did it was terrible. if you want vegetarian go to the green elephant!
if you like meat this is the place for you! the pig belly reuben is amazing and there "noshing" menu offers tons of different meat, cheese and seafood options. it doesnt look like a morgue in there anymore either
